Very very nice.
A bit too colorful for my taste though, colors confuse me as I am very colorblind….
I still prefer my Mercury Chrome Ocean

For loyal customers who have bought a Gravity from you, will you be also selling just the watch face (minus the band) so that people like myself who have gravity’s can switch up their watch faces without having to re purchase the band? If so will they also be available in the pre-order and how much do you think just the watch face will sell for?

I love it! Looks really great. I hope the clock (without the wristband) is not too expensive.
It’s 3:31 on the image

Hey, this is a fantastic design. Will you have other color combinations, such as blue/red/purple or black/white/grey?
April 20th, 2011 at 3:03 am
i think alot of people are screaming out for some plain black with not so so colour full dials that would be awesome

Looks promising! Can’t you guys just post a small video review? So we can see it work! Thanks!

I really like the concept, but think it is straying a little too far from the minimalism that made the earlier designs so great. The whole point there was minimalist design cues: single colour, no time markings or numbers, no big visible brand. They were watches that looked amazing without looking flashy.
I agree with a few others here in wanting something more subtle: Black metal band, no time markings, no big logo in the middle and a more subdued colour combination. Blue and red overlapping for purple or even two rings of fading white over black to produce different levels of grey would have my wallet out for my next ziiiro in a heartbeat.

Just for fun I tried out some alternative colours for aurora in photoshop:

The mechanism would be exactly the same.

I love the concept but would also like some more muted colour options.
How about something a little more like this:

scott: great idea, but it’ll be hardly visible at 12:05 or 12:10
April 29th, 2011 at 7:31 pm
@fischer: thanks for sharing your thoughts, we appreciate it!
just a problem: the color you can see on the tip of the aurora “hands” are already 100%, and like you can see it’s still transparent. thats why it would be pretty hard to tell the time in the area Derick mentioned.

Any chance you guys can make the Aurora on a metal band like the Mercury?

Hello,
Nice design.
But does Ziiiro’s customer service team reply emails at all? I’ve sent 3 times, and no one replied!!
=_=

Rob, Derick:
Thanks for the feedback (and sorry for the multiple posts).
If the “hands” are printed on transparent material, with the minute hand at a max of 65% opacity and on top of the hour hand (like the current configuration), then it would be easy to tell the time at 12:05 and 12:10. Demonstration here: http://fischer.com.au/ziiiro-1205.html

Hey Scott – thanks for the comment, i hear you. On the screen it certainly works fine like that, but i think with real discs it will be hard to see the blue area above the black/dark area. If you set the minutes hands layer to “multiply” you’ll see what i mean.

I really love the idea behind the aurora watches. It would be great if the watch came if different colours as stated above. I really like the Black/blue concept. The Blue/yellow just doesn’t work for me. Like Tam said, a steel band would be great.
Got my Mercury Black Ocean some days ago, I love it. Thanks, guys at Ziiiro, for making such amazing watches. Simplicity is the way to go! (<3 Tetris haha) Please, keep up the good work. ^^

I have huge problems with my watch. Its speeding so I have to readjust it every single day, as it speeds up to 15 minutes per day! I am one of the first buyers so I am wondering if anyone else is dealing with this? It’s so frustrating!!!

Nice looking watch
“Like Tam said, a steel band would be great.
”
That. This would be an instant buy for me if it were on a steel band

@ Layllaa: This shouldn’t happen, the Mercury clock works actually are pretty good and accurate ones. Did you already write to our customer support? http://www.ziiiro.com/page/support_service_and_repair
@ Bart, Jax: We have that in the making, stay tuned !
